Its been a long time since I last blogged. So much as happened since then..

Too many pics for the BKK trip so I shan't post them up.. Christmas was spent at District 10 Bistro. Ambiance was pretty good. Somehow we were offered the sofa seats. There were only 2 tables with sofa seats. Each table can sit 4-6 pax so it was kind of wasted on us but it wasn't like they were packed to the brim so.. anw, dinner was alright.. its supposed to be a drinking/chill out place and food is just an after thought. So when they came out with the xmas menu we should have thought twice before ordering. Every course had an item we abhored (amazing).. But overall it was good. There was a tv right in front of us. With food, TV and good company; what's not to like?

We both didn't have time to get each other's xmas prezzie so we went vivo together after work one day and decided to shop seperately. I wanted to get him a nice pen but he already knew about it so I wanted to change my mind but didn't know what to get him.. The first shop I stepped into however, helped me decide. I stepped into city chain. I've gotten him a watch before already.. But the moment my eyes landed on this Nautica model, I KNEW it was THE ONE. It was a tad expensive but I knew he'll love it. Imagine his shock when he found the receipt by accident (wanted to redeem credits for free parking so had to submit receipt at booth. when counter girl saw the amount she raised an eyebrow 'whoa... xmas present ah?' that got kel suspicious of the actual amount spent -_-) ..

He on the other hand, gave me 2 things. A musical box and a digital photo frame with a mem card with pics of us. Yes, I like useful (but thoughtful) gifts. I guess kel isn't dense enough to give me wine glass, ironing board, steak knifes for special occasions so I dared to venture into saying I like useful but thoughtful gifts.

Boxing day dinner was spent at a place I've been wanting to check out for AGES.. Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant @ Vivo. We picked an indoor table but the waiter heard us wrong (or at his own discretion) served us a table thats.. um.. technically indoor but with no air con; with sea view.. Anyway, we had their national dish of cos. It was FABULASO! Drinks wise, their spanish coffee with some liquor thingy sucks.. dun ever try it.. very alcoholic yes but didn go well with the coffee.. wrong choice of liquor perphaps.. they didn have nice beers either so drinks wise was quite a disappointment. But they have a great live band =) oh yes.. and super comfy seats.. *dreaming* i had lots of fun taking pics of the coffee thing though.. will post pics up on FB instead.. Blogger's too slow..



New Year Eve was spent at Keppel Marina. We've decided to spend all our NYEs at Keppel Marina from now on since we had such a great time last year. This year was no exception. Last year was at TCC and nearing 12am we walked out to view fireworks from all 3 locations. This year, we decided to spend it at Prive. It was our 2nd time there. But our 1st time was for drinks only. Their NYE menu was pretty good. I didn take much pics of the food cos it was quite dark. And for another reason: I was a little shy cos even before I whipped out my camera, some people were staring at us for no apparant reason. It was just plain weird. Managed to take 2 pics of food. ONLY. *sad* =( however, i have to say their food is really good. We had beef cheek and lobster for mains. can't really remember the appetiser.. i only remembered its good. haha.. kel had their mushroom soup and it was good too.. later we changed to a more private seat with a much better view. Then, I whipped out my cam to take pics of drinks and the view.









Lastly, the most important thing i want to blog about is... my trip to YANGTZE! I'm sure it would interest Audrey so I have have have to blog about it! BUT its getting late and I really have to go slp so I wld blog about it another day. =) The christmas pics kel and i compiled for Audrey will appear in the nxt blog post too.. ;)
