perphaps it has started for a while already. I was simply oblivious to it.. but it struck me in the face this time.. i guess i've come to the age where ppl have finished comparing acadamic stuff and now start to compare salaries, compare jobs and worse of all, compare boyfriends.. and since a time dunno when, boyfriends have become a modern girl's arm accessory. like.. like a ring.. or a bag.. more like a bag i guess..

my bf is cuter than urs but ur bf is richer than mine, my bf is taller than hers, bt her is beefier than mine.. my bf isn rich, bt his family is.. her bf is smart but potentially richer than yours. my bf is this, ur bf is that.............
and the " 'winner' goes hme feeling smug.. oh before that, gives a smirk to everyone else at the table.."

isn't it annoying? it is. and thats not the end..

my job pays better than urs, but urs gives more satisfaction, oh who cares abt satisfaction? my pay gives me enuf moolah to BUY satistaction.. wat? oh a new LV/Gucci/Loewe/Chloe/Miu Miu/Prada/louboutin/Jimmy Choo/............................

brings us back to the days when kids compare grades.. that made more sense cos its a level playing field (sort of..) but comparing bfs? comparing jobs? come on.. how old are these ppl? or rather, how bored are these ppl? if you aren't in the same line, whats there to compare? is job satisfaction measurable? is comfort level in the company measurable?

and bfs.. congrats to those who think they've got the catch of the century but its really funny how some ppl like to put on shows.. it doesn't matter how well ur arm candy performs infront of ur frens. what matters is how he treats you in private. and that again, is immeasurable.. besides, whats is there to show off if ur bf is really capable of earning a fat paycheque but u aren't?

we can discuss these aspects yes.. but when it comes to outright COMPARING, pls pardon me if i decide to laugh at your nonsense or simply ignore you.. i'm allergic to bullshit and i refuse to participate in nonsensical conversation..
